My minimalist dreams have been living in the back of my mind for a long time. A year. Maybe years. Those who know me more closely, know that bringing those dreams to the real life is a challenge - a great challenge. But one has to start somewhere and so I've decided tackle one small piece of my home at a time. The first one that I'm determined to do something about is my bathroom cupboard, the one and only cupboard in my bathroom. Right above the sink. Welcome, have a peek.
My apologies for the hanging laundry there.
See? I think even someone who's a stranger to minimalism is able to spot the problem: there are several of everything!
From top down, left to right there are:
two packets of cotton buds (why do the Americans make funny shaped ones that are utterly useless, sharp from one end and flat from the other?!)
an empty travel shampoo bottle
three deodorants
antiseptic something plus those blister patch thingies to plaster your heels with
tooth picks and floss
four face lotions
a bunch of masks and scrubs I've never used
two bottles of face wash
cotton pads
spare heads for my toothbrush
spray wax, spray conditioner and regular conditioner which I use once every three months (no wonder they're still there)
tooth brush, toothpaste
a messy pile of sanitary towels in all shapes and forms
My mission:
by the end of the year there are no more doubles or triples, let alone quadraples (is that even a word?)
Wish me luck.

No okei, mä ymmärrän sen terävän pään. :)
